Yes, Transportation is a Public Health Issue

A couple weeks ago, I was in a crash on my bicycle. I was on a dicey city road with intermittent bike infrastructure (think something like this). The road, a regular part of my commute, begins with a bike lane (which may be a mixed bag anyways) that suddenly ends and becomes a shared bike/vehicle lane with no bike markings. Eat your Wheaties, gentle cyclist, becuase it’s time to take up space in traffic.

I don’t remember all the details as I crashed face-first into the back of an SUV (thankfully it wasn’t the other way around), but what I was told is…
